UNIVERSAL FAN FEST NIGHTS SNEAK PEEK PREVIEW + BEHIND THE SCENES TOUR

by - 4/25/2025

Around 2 weeks prior the grand opening of Universal Fan Fest Nights I was able to take a Behind the Scenes Tour with Stephen Siercks, director of Entertainment Production at Universal Studios Hollywood, and got a sneak peek of two of their new immersive experiences including Dungeons and Dragons and Star Trek Red Alert.

The Dungeons and Dragons Experience, is located at Soundstage 15, and it’s a really big place.

Prepare yourself for an adventure, and get ready to fight to save Waterdeep.

My favorite room was this one because of a very big surprise in front of me that I wasn’t allow to capture but that I’m sure you are going to enjoy a lot if you are a big fan of this universe.

Look at the amazing details in here.

I was able to record all of these rooms with the lights on, inside the soundstage, but when you are in this experience, there is going to be light and other practical effects going around you, so prepare yourself.

Also, the attraction is meant for smalls groups that are even going to be divided inside even more, so you may experience this in different ways if you go more than one time.

The duration of the Dungeons and Dragons Experience is going to be around 10 to 12 minutes in total and its going to include characters you may know that are going to go with you through the passages.

I want to show you every detail I can so you can enjoy the attraction while you are here and make sure you catch all the Easter Eggs along the way.

Remember you can come with cosplay, this is like Comic Con, there are some rules for this like at Halloween Horror Nights, but you can pretty much come as your favorite character. I still don’t know how I’m going to dress up to but I’m really excited.

There is going to be special merch of Dungeons and Dragons for these Fan Fest Nights like accesories, themed apparel and collectibles.

Then I traveled to the Upper Lot at Universal Studios Hollywood to another experience part of Fan Fest Nights, and that is Star Trek Red Alert.

This experience is all about the Starfleet Museum, and you will literally be inside a Shuttlecraft.

But beware because you are going to engage in an unforgettable Star Trek Odyssey in this experience.

There is also going to be light and special effects going on, that you can’t see right know, but even when the doors open and close, you can here the sounds just like in the Star Trek universe.

You will feel like you are in space in this incredible adventure, and this is again meant for small groups of people that will be divided in even smaller groups while you go through the different rooms in here.

So you can have a different experience if you go through here for more than one time. You will be able to take pictures and video inside, again no flash, but I was told there will also be other places at the park where you can take your time and take pictures with Star Trek backgrounds like a 10 Forward Bar, where you can indulge on specially crafted drinks such as the Ceti Eel Margarita and so much more.

You know, actually Universal Studios collaborated with Paramount and they brought the iconic bridge featured in Star Trek: Picard.

Universal Fan Fest Nights are not only about this two experiences I showed you, there will also be special shows and experiences for other fandoms in Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Gaming and Anime.

I’m talking about Back to the Future, One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, as well as the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Super Nintendo World.

All of these run at the same time in select nights from April 25th to May 18.

There are tickets still available and general admission starts at 74 dollars. I added the link here:https://www.universalstudioshollywood.com/hhn/things-to-do/events-and-seasonal-activities/fan-fest-nights
