the San Diego County Fair / La Feria del Condado de San Diego
Exhibitions,
games, rides, entertainment and food, especially food, its what comes to my
mind, when I think of the County Fair.
Since
I was a little kid, I remember going to the fair every year, I used to go with
my grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, mom, dad and my brother, and now I
only go with my parents and my boyfriend <3, but its still a great
tradition.
The
San Diego County Fair used to be called the Del Mar Fair, and although it
changed its name, it’s still better every year.
The
fair has a theme every year, and 2015 it’s about the celebration of the
centennial of the Panama-California world fair that was held in Balboa Park in
1915.
Along
with the theme, this year you can experience different exhibitions through out
the fair including one that I highly recommend, that it’s located near the main
entrance and it’s about the world fairs.
About
the rides, this year I decided to focus on the carnival games instead because I
was determined to win a stuffed unicorn seen in the movie “Despicable me”, and
I won it!
About
the food, my favorite plate has always been the Tasti chips as long as I
remember and of course I ordered them with some bacon cheese on top.
Also
this year I decided to try something new, and I bought a cheeseburger that
included chile relleno and aguacate besides the meat and vegetables, and it was
delicious! I recommend it a 100%.
About
entertainment, I like going to the concerts held at the fair, but this year,
there was no artist or band that caught my attention.
My
last comment is that I recommend that you go to the fair, and you have until
July 5th to go.

Desde que era
una niña recuerdo ir cada año a la feria, antes íbamos con mis abuelos, tíos,
primos y toda la familia, y ahora sólo voy con mis papás y mi novio <3 pero
sigue siendo una bonita tradición.
La feria del
Condado de San Diego antes se le llamaba la feria de Del Mar, pero a pesar del
cambio de nombre, ésta sigue mejorando cada año.
Cada año la
feria cuenta con un tema, este año se trata de la celebración del centenario de
la feria mundial de Panamá- California que se realizó en el parque Balboa en
1915.
Acorde al tema,
este año se puede disfrutar de diferentes exhibiciones a lo largo de la feria
incluyendo una gran exhibición que les recomiendo mucho que visiten que se
encuentra cerca de la entrada principal y cuenta con la historia de las ferias
mundiales que se han realizado en todo el mundo.
Sobre los
juegos, este año me dedique a solo jugar juegos de carnaval en lugar de subirme
a los juegos mecánicos, porque ansiaba ganarme un muñeco de peluche del
unicornio que sale en la película de “Mi villano favorito” y sí me lo gané!!
En cuanto a
comida!! Mi platillo favorito siempre ha sido las papas que se llaman Tasti
Chips que llevan queso arriba, y este año experimenté con un platillo nuevo que
era una hamburguesa que además de carne tenía un chile relleno y aguacate,
estaba súper rica! Recomendada al 100%.
Y de
entretenimiento, cada año me gusta ir a los conciertos que hay en la feria, y
este año no hubo ningún artista o grupo que me llamara mucho la atención, pero
los grupos de artistas locales que vi cuando caminaba por la feria si me
gustaron.
Mi último
comentario, es que les recomiendo que vayan a la feria, tienen hasta el 5 de
julio.
